Since busy rental season is upon us, it’s always interesting to compare what $2500 can get you in different sections of Boston.

After sifting through the current market offerings, it seems that $2500 will rent a studio or sometimes even a 1-BR in newly constructed, modern buildings. If you are lucky some of them come with amenities.

There are three 1-BRs available at Dorchester’s 106 Burtonwood Street for $2,500 a month. Small dogs allowed.

Staying in Dorchester, but moving closer to Southie, can find a 1,080-square-foot 2-BR, 1-BA at 45 Rogers Street priced at $2,500. W/D and central air included. No pets.

Charlestown features two studios at 45 First Avenue—each 500 square feet—are asking $2,450. Central air included, pets permitted.

The Metromark complex at 3611 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain has a 568-square-foot studio asking $2,470. Pets permitted; W/D and central air included; garaged parking available for $175 a month.

At the South End’s Troy Boston at 55 Traveler Street, there are many 1-BRs around the $2,700 price point. They range from 575 square feet to 690. Central air and W/D included. Pet friendly. Parking.
